WCWD & PolyGone Systems Announces A New Pilot Project

PolyGone Systems is excited to announce that we are working with West County Wastewater District (WCWD) in Richmond, California to initiate a new pilot deployment in the effluent channel at their wastewater treatment facility. WCWD carries the mission to provide the best quality wastewater treatment for protecting the natural water ecosystem in the Bay Area.

As microplastics are gaining attention across the industry, this pilot project is a collaborative effort of PolyGone Systems and WCWD to explore innovative technology that provides an easy, effective, and manageable solution for microplastic sequestration and is marked as PolyGone’s first pilot project in California. PolyGone and WCWD together are bringing a new configurable and modular system to realization that carries PolyGone’s unique microplastic filters — the Artificial Root Filters. The on-site deployment is anticipated to kick off in April 2024.
