ACUA is currently working with PolyGone to initiate a pilot project on microplastic removal in the equalization basin in the wastewater treatment plant of ACUA. Large arrays of artificial root filters and Plastic Hunter monitoring device will be deployed in the basin to monitor and remediate the microplastic pollutants from the post-processing water.
